General description

Nonidet P40 Substitute has been purified to reduce levels of unwanted peroxides, carbonyl compounds and salts. It is specially purified for membrane research.

Application

Nonidet P40 is:
used for solubilizing membrane proteins during isolation of membrane-protein complexes
included in buffers for microplate assays
included in buffers for microtiterplate assays
used to stabilize enzymes such as Taq DNA polymerase
included as a component of lysis buffer for cell lysis

Preparation Note
